Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Mumbai
Welcome to Mumbai! Take a tour to discover the weather-beaten historic streets of Colaba the British Quarter of Bombay during the Raj and the surrounding areas.
Day 2: Mumbai – Kashid (Drive 90 Kms / Cycling 40 Kms)
We transfer out of busy Mumbai to start our ride. As you cycle enjoy the great views of paddy fields, green countryside and to the Arabian Sea. Kashid is a beach town and you have plenty of free time to explore the beach and local temples.
Day 3: Kashid – Srivardhan (Cycling 30 Kms)
This morning our ride follows the windy Konkan coastline to our next destination – Srivardhan. The route is mostly flat with views of the Arabian Sea. Visit the formidable Janjira Fort before continuing our ride to Agardanda where will cross by local ferry to Dighi. On arrival at Srivardhan and we will check into our beach resort. Our accommodation tonight is simple but comfortable.
Day 4: Srivardhan – Hernai Beach (Drive 26 Kms / Cycling 50 Kms)
Transfer to the start of today’s ride to Hernai Beach Enroute we stop and take blessings from the temple in Harihareshwar and there is local ferry crossing before we cycle into Hernai Beach, a destination that has not been touched by mass tourism.
Day 5: Hernai Beach – Hedvi Beach (Drive 30 Kms / Cycling 50 Kms)
We break our ride with another ferry crossing as we peddle past fishing villages with large fishing nets, crowds of colourful houses and clean beaches. This place looks stunning with a backdrop of moody skies during monsoon. We check into our hotel and you have an evening free to relax or walk along the beach.
Day 6: Hedavi Beach – Ratnagiri (Cycling 35 Kms)
Toady we will cycle to the Tavsal jetty and cross another inlet by ferry to Jaigad. Back on dry land we will bike to the famous temple town of Ganpatipule. After visiting the temple we will stop here for the picnic lunch. After lunch we cycle on a beautiful stretch of road to Ranatangiri.
Day 7: Ratnagiri – Ambolgad (Drive 80 Kms/ Cycling 45 Kms)
Cycle along the coastal route from Ratnagiri to Anbolgad. Some parts of the route are not safe for us to cycle so we will cover these 80 Kms in our support vehicle. Where we cycle the roads are mostly flat and are lined with coconut trees and numerous small fishing villages.
Day 8: Ambolgad – Malvan (Drive 40 Kms / Cycling 50 Kms)
Malvan town is situated on the edge of the Arabian Sea and known for its coastal cuisine and natural beauty. The town has a few sightseeing options like the Sindhudurg Fort, Tarkarli Beach and the Vetal Mandirrock garden. You can also snorkel here in the crystal clear waters full of colourful corals and marine life.
Day 9: Malvan – Goa (Cycling 60 Kms)
Today is our last day on our bikes and we cycle till we reach Redi on the Goa-Maharashtra border. Here we visit Terekhol Fort, built by the King of Swantwadi on the northern bank of the Terekhol River. We then transfer to Goa and your tour ends on arrival at your Goa accommodation.
