Zambia shares Victoria Falls with its neighbour Zimbabwe, and has somewhat escaped mass-tourism. A large percentage of this land-locked country is set aside as wildlife reserves. Lower Zambezi National Park is best explored by canoe while game walks are an essential Zambian experience in the wildlife haven of South Luangwa National Park.
In general game viewing is at its best from April to September/October while birding enthusiasts will not be disappointed during the wetter months of December to March.
