Most people are familiar with the massive red dunes of Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, but Namibia offers so much more. From the seaside adventure resort of Swakopmund to the huge granite domes rising out of the desert at Spitzkop, Namibia is a land of great contrast.
Wildlife enthusiasts wants are also satisfied with excellent viewing opportunities in Etosha and the game rich Caprivi strip that borders Botswana, Zambia and Angola.
The winter dry season is from May to October and days will be clear and warm while the nights will be cold and offers the best game viewing in Etosha. The coast stays cool and rain free for most of the year due to the cold Benguela current while inland all the rain falls between November and April, with January and February very hot. Namibia is a year round destination – you just need to pack accordingly!
New Zealand Passport Holders can obtain a free single entry visa on arrival for stays up to 30 days.
